Top attractive places in Sapa tour

Locating in the Northwest of Vietnam, Sapa is a beautiful land which contains a lot of wonderful natural sceneries. Today, this beauty is not only a pride of Vietnamese, but also becomes a famous destination attracts many visitors coming here each year. Sapa, a land makes visitors cannot forget whenever having an opportunity to visit once.

1. Where is Sapa

 

Sapa is a highland of Lao Cai province. It lies on an elevation of 1500 to 1650m on the slope of Lo Su Tong Mountain. The peak of this mountain can be seen from the southeast of Sa Pa, in the height of 2228m. From Sapa, visitos can look down to Ngoi Dum Valley in the east and Muong Hoa Valley in the southwest.

2.  Must not miss tourist destinations:

-         Sapa stone church: This church was built in 1895 and it is also the French oldest architecture still remains today. It is located in the center of Sapa and for many decades, it has become an important symbol when recommending about Sapa.

-         Ham Rong Mountain: Ham Rong is located in the center of Sapa too. Standing on the top of this mountain, visitors can admire clearly Muong Hoa valley, Ta Phin village hiding in the mist. You can also enjoy a whole view of Sapa with your naked eye and take some photos of this smog scene. Visiting Ham Rong Mountain, visitors will experience the feeling like going through a heaven garden which is full of white clouds with cool air and various brilliant types of flowers.

-         Cat Cat village: This is an old village of Mong people, one of ethnic minorities in Vietnam. In here, there are many traditional handicrafts still exist such as planting cotton or weaving. Now, this tourist spot is reconstructured into Cat Cat tourist site. Cat Cat village is about 2km far from the center of Sapa.

-         Muong Hoa Valley: This valley has one special thing: ancient rocks. These rocks were carved with various shapes and interlaced between the grass and the terraced fields of the ethnic minority. These rocks also contain a lot of carved figures and strange characters which cannot be identified the source and meaning. In Muong Hoa valley, visitors can also visit a beautiful stream flowing for about 15 km through Lao Chai, Ta Van, Hau Thao and ending in Ban Ho. This place is 8km far from the southeast of Sapa.

-         Ta Phin village: This place has beautiful natural scenery and owns cultural characteristics of the Red Dao with the most prominent feature is brocade. At Ta Phin village, you can visit the Ta Phin Cave. In the cave, there are many interesting stalactites in a lot of shapes such as people are dancing, distant fields or forest

  3.  Suitable time to travel to Sapa

Sapa becomes more beautiful from September to November, or from March to May:

-         September to October is the harvest season. Coming to Sapa at this time, visitors will see all angles of Sapa turn into golden color. The hills seem to wear new clothes – yellow.

-         From December to February, the weather is extremely cold. In Sapa maybe appears ice or sometimes snow. This is also the blossom season of peach flower so visitors can comfortably enjoy the view which will be filled with full of pink.

-         From April to May, ethnic minority will plant rice on terraced fields. This season is Spring and this is also the bloom season of many other beautiful flowers in Sapa.
