Dong Ho is well-known for its hand-made woodblock prints, used especially for Tet. Woodblocks are printed on do traditional paper, covered with a layer of powdered shell.

The sketch is made with feather pen and Chinese ink on paper, then transferred on the reverse pattern onto the stamp. The design is then incised into the block, made from persimmon, magnolia and long muc wood, using several kinds of chisels. The color print is then made on the do paper using stamps made of yellow magnolia wood.

natural pigments are used, mainly red ochre, white from powdered shells, yellow from the sappan wood and the flowers of the sophora japonica plant, blue from indigo leaves, and black from bamboo ash. The brush to apply the colors is made of pine leaves. In the past, most of Dong Ho families knew how to make woodblock prints.
